Whale Shark Season La Paz: 2026–27 Dates & What to Expect

Whale shark season in La Paz, Baja California Sur runs from October through April. Whale sharks gather in Bahía de La Paz to feed on plankton inside a federally protected refuge zone, and swimming with them is legal only with a permitted operator.
